We warmly welcome ALL young aspiring performers and artists to participate and perform in The Academy program's (ages 12+) next 2026 production of High School Musical 2: On Stage! Lead soloists will be auditioned for, however anyone interested is welcome to join the cast.

About the event
Joining us for the first time? Your first trial class is always free.
Backup callback are open to any student booked into the class, whether you attended Orientation or are joining us for the first time. This is your chance to audition for specific roles in High School Musical 2, with requirements drawn from the official Audition Pack.
Official auditions joined by our Creative Director and Coach Paulina were held the week prior. She will not be attending this class since she will be at Forestville.
You are still welcome to audition. It will be considered equally to everyone else, and recorded for our team's reference only.
We will send email the Audition Pack as soon as it is available, make sure you come prepared.
Please wear clothes and footwear you can move comfortably in. Returning students, feel free to wear your MMC shirt!
What to expect:
Students audition individually for specific roles while the rest of the group works on a separate activity
Role requirements and scene details are outlined in the Audition Pack
Auditions are to see what you have prepared and which roles interest you most
To be guaranteed a role, you have to be enrolled before cast is announced.
Cast is announced the following week

Free trial class
Ages 12-18
Everyone who wants to be in the show will be in the show
If you prefer to focus on ensemble rather than audition for a principal role, you are equally welcome and equally valued
Important note on auditions: Cast is announced late, meaning three weeks less than usual before diving into full content for a two-hour production, most likely across two show days with different roles in each. If you're auditioning for a main role, we ask for full, consistent attendance from here on, unless you're absolutely unable to make it. This isn't a rule for its own sake, it's to make sure you feel confident and prepared once you're on that stage. We'll always work with you if something genuinely comes up.
Show days: Thu–Fri 3–4 Dec (Tech 1, Show 1) & Tue–Wed 8–9 Dec (Tech 2, Show 2) at Zenith Theatre, Chatswood.
